He was born during a thunderstorm but celebrated his first birthday during a snowstorm. Gotta love spring in the upper midwest. This family was great to work with and were more than happy to indulge in my love for lifestyle while still getting more traditional portraits to mark his first year.

What I love the most about lifestyle infused sessions is the way they document the everyday. The truth about what a struggle it is to get them dressed or their diapers changed. The need for team work to accomplish things. How small they look on the table or in the crib. What their favorite book was or what their nuk looked like. These moments don't last long and the memories fade.

It's the in-between moments and family connection that make my soul happiest.
